Strawberry, Mango, Peach & Banana Smoothie Bowl is a fresh and light afternoon snack of a very hot day in the UK.
I have had a love for smoothies and smoothie bowls for quite some time now. I’m pretty sure it was around the time I found a handful of “influencers” who live in Hawaii and it made my love for Hawaii and smoothie bowls grow. I’m sure I’ve mentioned it countless times now, but I really want to visit Hawaii one day. Head to the north shore juice and smoothie trucks and sit eating an acai bowl on the beach! That’s our goal anyway, to travel to Hawaii in the next few years! But seeing all the bright colored fruits added to bowls and smoothies has encouraged me to eat and drink my fruit and veg much more! Most days we have a green smoothie, I like to make sure we are getting plenty of fruit and veg in, but on days when you just fancy something sweet and dessert-like, this is my go-to! Tom is really starting to enjoy them too! He hasn’t got much of a sweet tooth like me, but on the odd occasion he fancies something desserty, this hits the spot.
This is England…
It’s so hot again in England this week I’m pretty sure I’ll be making a few of these bowls. We are having freak weather here. It’s been on average 16 degrees celsius and up since April time! We’ve only had a handful of rainy days in 8 weeks… That’s very unlike the British weather, but I am not complaining. It’s nice for the weather to be good when we have time off, although it will be nice to go back to work, I am making the most of this time. Having the chance to relax is fantastic, I am usually on the go and don’t stop so it is lovely.
Why I love smoothie bowls…
I am sure I have mentioned before, pretty much in every post, my love for smoothies and smoothie bowls. It’s just a really great way to be able to get all of your goodness for the day in one go. Occasionally I will add some protein shake to our bowls or smoothies if we have done exercise prior so that’s a great way of getting in some extra protein, you can hide your greens in your smoothies, i haven’t yet tried a green bowl, but this is a great way to trick your husband or kids into eating more good stuff without them knowing. Plus it’s like eating ice cream! What more could you want?…

- 6 strawberries
- 3 bananas
- 2 peaches
- 1 small handful of mango
- A splash of oat milk
- Put your fruit into the blender with a splash of oat milk and blend and mash until it's a smooth consistency.
- Once smooth pour into a bowl and decorate with your fruit and granola.
- Use two of the bananas in the smoothie bowl and the other to top it.
- Use 5 strawberries into the smoothie bowl and the other one to top it.
