So my Creamy Avocado Smoothie for today is quite plain compared to a lot that I’ve done before but still delicious!! Full of good healthy fats and not too much sugar, see what you think?
Joe and the Juice do a really similar one which is where I first had the idea! I’m not 100% sure what they put in theirs, but with this one it’s not as full of flavour as some of the others that I have made. I don’t mind a ‘plain jane’ smoothie occasionally as long as I know I’m getting a tonne of goodness. If you’re really wanting to add something a little extra to this, you can add another handful of spinach? More greens, why not?
You could add vanilla protein powder, this would be perfect! Make it a little more flavourful! I have been looking at the Hermosa proteins. The Vanilla one would be perfect in this seeing as that it is also vegan. You could also add chia seeds, they’re loaded with antioxidants and contain protein, fiber and are very high in fatty acids! Flax seeds are also fantastic to add to this, they are pretty much tasteless, and again they contain high amounts of fatty acids. This is the perfect morning smoothie for any vegan!
- Flax Seeds
- Chia Seeds
- Vanilla Protein
What you need to make the avocado shake :-
- 1/2 Avocado
- 1 Banana
- 300ml Oat Milk
- 200ml Water
- 1/4 cup of Oats
- 1/2 scoop of vanilla protein powder
- Add all your ingredients to the blender and blitz.
- Serve and Enjoy!

Yup it’s that quick and simple, the only thing that needs preparing beforehand are the bananas!! I like to freeze mine for a cold creamy texture in smoothies, but unfrozen is fine too. This is a cold, creamy avocado shake!
